Ahmed brings a rare combination of clinical sleep medicine expertise and formal business acumen. As a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with an MBA, he has performed and analyzed thousands of sleep studies while developing the strategic vision for SleepDx.
His experience at Florida Lung & Sleep Associates, implementing AI-powered scoring systems and optimizing laboratory operations, directly informed the design of the SleepDx platform. His Certified Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH) credential reflects his commitment to patient-centric care.
Dr. Alaa El-Gendy

Dr. El-Gendy is a board-certified pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist. As a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), he has achieved the highest honors in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
He serves as Medical Director of Florida Lung & Sleep Associates, an AASM-accredited sleep center. With active medical licenses in seven states—Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Iowa, and California—he provides expert interpretation coverage across a significant portion of the U.S. population.
